Meet & Greet
We require a Meet & Greet prior to beginning any services. Before scheduling the Meet & Greet we will create an online account for you and ask that you log in and fill out all required information. Our goal during this meeting is to obtain all information required to perform pet care and house sitting services. We will tour your home to learn about your pet’s daily routines, where your pet’s supplies are kept and home security routines. We will also review house hold information, payment policies, cancellation policies, and collect TWO working keys. If two working keys are not available at the initial Meet & Greet, we will be happy to make a duplicate for a $10.00 charge. If a second consultation is requested for any reason there will be a $35.00 charge.
Peaceful Pet Sitters requires a minimum of TWO working keys for all clients’ homes. Clients can choose to keep a key on file with PPS at no charge or have keys returned at end of reservation. A $15.00 charge (each way) is incurred by client for key pick up/drop off services. NO KEYS will be accepted under the doormat, hidden on premises, mailed by regular mail, or locked in home on last visit. Garage door openers are accepted in addition to, but not in lieu of keys. Keys are filed in a locked fire resistant box away from address information. We use a coding system to label all keys that only makes since to us so your key will not be tracked back to you or your home.
All clients are required to keep a current credit card or ACH information on file with Peaceful Pet Sitters. Payment for Pet Sitting is due when services begin. Payment for Dog Walking is due weekly on Friday. Please log in to Time to Pet to view invoices or past payments, make payments and update payment infomation any time.
Dog Waking services are subject to a 24 hour cancellation period. Daily Visit Pet Sitting services are subject to 5 day cancellation period. Cancellation period is determined by counting back from the date services are scheduled to begin. If reservations are cancelled prior to the cancellation period client will receive a refund or credit. Otherwise, client will be responsible for 50% of the invoice total. If changes are made to reservation during the service period no refunds or credits will be given and clients are required to pay for the reserved amount of visits. Service period begins on the date of first scheduled visit and ends on the date of last scheduled visit. Reservation extensions are always available and will be subject to a supplemental invoice and will collected upon clients return.
Peaceful Pet Sitters has a No Shared Responsibility Policy in order to comply with our insurance policy (no exceptions will be made). This means no other person should share pet care responsibilities (i.e. feeding, medicating, etc.). Client agrees to provide a list of all individuals/companies who have access to the premises while client is away (i.e. house cleaning service, painters, landscapers, friends, family members, etc.). Peaceful Pet Sitters cannot be held responsible for the acts of others that are allowed in and out of the home during the service period.
Peaceful Pet Sitters, has minimum visit policy to ensure the safety of your home and for the health and well-being of your. Client’s pets must be visited every 24 hours (we strongly recommend every twice a day). For pet(s) without access to potty area (i.e. pet door, pee pads, or litter box). Peaceful Pet Sitters requires a minimum of 3 daily visits. Visit times are approximate and subject to change based on the needs of all pets under Peaceful Pet Sitters care. Peaceful Pet Sitters is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pets.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only agents who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or pet care services) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
